Little Stars - School Readiness classes - Starting in January 2026

Star Learners Little Stars is designed for children aged 3-4 before they start school in September 2026.  Fun and busy sessions of 90 minutes will help them to learn become more independent, experience basic letters and numbers, building up reading and maths skills and social confidence before they start school.  Many children are ready for a little extra to complement their nursery routine and with maximum group sizes of 4, they can enjoy interaction with their peers whilst also getting individual attention from highly qualified and experienced staff.

Reception - Year 2

Reception Stars

This class supports Reception children in their first crucial year in school.  Held weekly, it covers all aspects of phonics, reading and writing in a 60 minute session to help stay on track and move forward in school.  


 Star Learners Year 1


Combined Year 1 is a 90 minute class covering both phonics and maths.  
This class builds on the skills learnt in reception and supports your child in mastering their phonics leading to enhanced reading and writing skills.  We will cover all areas of maths building on the Early Years skills and smoothing that transition towards Year 2. These sessions will give your child that much needed boost and bring that enjoyment of maths and numbers back.



Star Learners Year 2

For our Year 2 Stars we provide 2 different types of classes.  
Firstly, we have separate hour long sessions in English and Maths, so your child can focus on the area that they need.  
Secondly, we have a combined year 2 class which is 90 minutes and covers both English and Maths.
 
Again, these sessions will build on skills taught in Year 1 and help your child to feel more confident when they are back in school. By working in groups it allows your child to bounce ideas off their peers whilst receiving individual support from experienced staff.
