Little Stars - School Readiness classes - book now for Spring '24!
Star Learners Little Stars is designed for children aged 3-4 before they start school in September 2024. Fun and busy sessions of 90 minutes will help them to learn become more independent, experience basic letters and numbers, building up reading and maths skills and social confidence before they start school. Many children are ready for a little extra to complement their nursery routine and with maximum group sizes of 4, they can enjoy interaction with their peers whilst also getting individual attention from highly qualified and experienced staff.

Reception - Year 2

Led by Amy, a skilled Spanish tutor with 4 years' experience teaching children in Nantwich as well as 4 years' experience in bilingual schools in Madrid. Join us on Saturday mornings for enriching and enjoyable classes featuring songs, games and captivating stories.

Reception Stars
This class supports Reception children in their first crucial year in school. Held on a Saturday when children are more refreshed, it covers both aspects of Phonics and Maths in a 90 minute session to help stay on track and move forward in school.
Star Learners Year 1
Our Year 1 Phonics Stars
builds on the basic letters skills learnt in the Reception Year. The group sessions are just an hour long and aim to give your Year 1 child a confidence boost and extra support in the crucial area of phonics. Mastering phonics leads to enhanced skills in reading and writing and helps your child prepare for the primary years ahead.
Our Year 1 Maths Stars supports your child's development as they enter the National Curriculum in Maths. We cover all areas of Maths building on the Early Years skills and smoothing that transition towards Year 2. Sessions of an hour will give your child that much needed boost and bring that enjoyment of Maths and numbers back.
Reception/Year 1 Bridge
is suitable for those children who are in Year 1 but need some consolidation of areas coved in Reception. This is a 90 minute class covering both phonics and Maths.
Year 1/Year 2 bridge
This class supports those children who are in year 2 but still need to consolidate some of the Year 1 objectives before they move on. Separate phonics and maths sessions helps to target the areas for development that are needed.
These classes are led by our primary specialist Clare.
Star Learners Year 2
For our Year 2 Stars we provide separate hour long sessions in English and Maths, so your child can focus on the area that they need.
Again, these sessions will build on skills taught in Year 1 and help your child to feel more confident when they are back in school. By working in groups it allows your child to bounce ideas off their peers whilst receiving individual support from experienced staff.
